What we gave to those that helped us through the year.
During the Holidays my hubbie-Don and I like to give a little something to those that help us. We do House Watch (Huge Business in this area), Lawn care, Snow Plowing, Some house cleaning, after construction clean up and Pet sitting. We do on occasion ask some of our friends to help us for with moving, lawn care, plowing, salt, etc. So-it would not be right to have a NAKED bottle of Alcohol given as a gift-oh no! I had to fancy it up with our business cards, a little Big Shot Snowflake and Pop Cans.

See-Stampin' Up!® is More than cards and scrapbooks. It's So Much More. Book your show for January, February, March today and see what's in it for you!
Merry Christmas to You.
I thought I would share my Stamper 6 (Lake Geneva Group) project that we made last Friday at the Caribou Coffee Shop. We were not able to hold our meeting at the usual spot and the coffee shop was very accommodating.
I had everyone make the Ornament with their choice of re- inker colors and a clear square ornament. I used Real Red Re- inker (#103287 $2.95) and our Fine Galaxy Glitter (#114286 $13.95) plus some of the Nifty rub- on's from last years Catalog. Just remember-use rubbing alcohol on the outside of the ornament-dry and the rub on's will stick nicely. So Easy. From start to finish with ribbon-25 Min. You can make several in one hour and just in time for tonight's last minute gifts!!!!
We used the Big Shot to make the box with our Scallop Envelope Die (#113462 $21.95) and the (D.S.P. Merry Moments #115672 $9.95) . PRETTY!!!
Here I added a Clear Window sheet (#114323 $4.95) for the lid.
From my Home to yours-
Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Fun Holiday Treat with New Peppermint Patty Package.
Here we go-another Quick and Easy treat to make using our Sizzix Big Shot and Petal Card Holder. I am using the New Peppermint Patty package-still deciding if I like it! They never asked the S.U. Demonstrators what we thought of an upgrade in design!! Just Kidding!! Here is the finished item but follow along for more details on how to make it.
Use the Petal Card Bigz Die-#113467.

I used Taken with Teal C.S. (#101584 $5.50), and Holiday Lounge (#115676 $9.95).

Don't forget to use a shim ( I used an extra sheet of Taken with Teal) and the Standard Premium Crease Pad (#113476 $8.95). If you use "both" of the Cutting pads-the crease can be sliced all the way through. You want a Subtle and still "intact" crease. So use a cutting pad, shim, die, C.S., then a Premium Crease Pad. Run that Baby through the Big Shot! Results are Perfect!

Now fold in three sides and tape bottom with Red Sticky Strip (#104294 $6.95). You want it to stay shut! Now put in candy.

I cut out a 1" X 6 1/4" strip of the DSP-Holiday Lounge.

Just place in middle-have some Snail (AKA Booger Maker Tape :0) (#104332 $6.95/refill #104331 $4.50) and add tape on middle and on the right side. Place in middle, then wrap around treat and tape in back.

Next, I stamped Merry Christmas from the Cute and Curly Label Stamps-it's looking like this one is retired. Ugh!! Just when I realized this set was Fun. Oh well-I never said that I would Always demo Current sets-But I do try my best. Still-any set would do. I punched out with the Curly Label Punch (#112208 $15.95).

Next, I used the Magnetic Movers and Shapers set (#114506 $42.95). The shape punched out from this Sizzix die is slightly larger then the punch. It frames the greeting perfectly.

Just add that, always available, always 3-D accessory-Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430 $3.95).
Ta Dah!!!!

A Fun Lip Balm Holder-A little Old/a little New.
I decided to make a few Lip Balm Holders for a Craft fair that I had this weekend. Of Course-They were a hit. I used a Retired Snowman from our 2002 Snow globe set with our Current Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper. I think they turned out kinda cute-Don't you?
Here is my LIL' Paws version with Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer paper.
And the inside.

Here are the supplies just in case you NEED these items.
Specialty Designer Series Papers: Holiday Lounge (#115676- $9.95), Christmas Cocoa Specialty (#116770-$11.95), Taken with Teal C.S. (#101584-$5.50), Real Red C.S. (#102482-$5.50), White C.S. (#106529-$7.50), Chocolate Chip C.S.(#102128-$5.50), Close to Cocoa C.S.(#101341-$5.50), Ribbon -Organza Ribbon (#114319-$5.95), Soft Suede Polka Dot (#115612-$9.95) and Satin White Ribbon(#114616-$8.95). Current Stamp Set-Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370-$36.95).
I used Taken with Teal ink pad (#100617-$5.95) and Staz-On Black Pad(#103257-$5.95). I used a Blender pen (102845-$9.95) to paint the fun snowman. Real Red ink pad (103133-$5.95)
My Favorite tool-The Big Shot of course-was used for the Bear-LIL' PAWS (117983-$11.95). Big Shot (#113439-$99.95) Punches-Word Window (#105090-$15.95) and Modern Label (#116630-$15.95)
Directions: 5 3/4" X 3 1/2" Base. Inside paper 5 1/2" X 3 3/8". Score at 2 1/2" X 3 1/4". Slice 2 marks 3/4" in the middle at 1 1/2" X 2 3/8". I have seen other patterns for extra cuts to hold the Lip Balm in place but this one large hole holds the lip balm just fine. I added SNAIL (Booger Maker Tape!) on the back and added ribbon to tie. Questions?-Just ask.
