An Elegant Card

It was time for a Picture tutorial. I just had to show you a really cool card that I cased! It was from our Co-Founder-Shelli Gardner, during one of her Demonstrations for-Workshop of a Lifetime for Demonstrators-across the country.

I think it's very Rich and Elegant looking. So here is my picture tutorial of the stenciled piece. Enjoy!

Vanilla Card Stock (#101650 $7.50)

Our stencils-Elegant Trio is from Our definitely decorative catalog (#118262 $9.95). I used the color Taken with Teal ink pad (#103257 $5.95) and 1/4 of one of our sponges (#101610 $3.50).

I then used one of our "under $10 stamps" Simply Thanks (#115560 $7.95). You could also use Define Your Life Stamp Set (#114950 $47.95) and get just as nifty a look.

I used Staz- On Black Ink (#101406 $7.95) and randomly stamped all over the stencil.

Peel up the stencil and TA-DAA!!

But Wait-There's More….Now poke a hole in the center-I used the Sharp Paper Piercing tool and the Mat pack for underneath the stamped paper. (#116631 $3.50 Tool and Mat Pack #105826 $9.95-Very Handy-I use these tools at least three times a week).

The final touch-a Clear Brad-Oh so Pretty. (#113144 $10.95 for 84)

And that is that. The colors I used were Basic Black C.S. and Ribbon, Vanilla C.S.,Taken with Teal C.S. and Ink as well as the paper pack Sweet Pea (sorry-Sweet Pea is No longer available from the Occasions Mini).

Now-Go create something-You deserve some me time!!!

It’s A Sneak Peek-Summer Mini.

I have been playing with some of my new sets from the Soon to be released Summer Mini. As a Demonstrator, I get to Pre-order and what a thrill it is to play with something Brand- Spankin' New.

This is a Lovely card (if I do say so) that was made with the Watercolor Trio (Not yet available-W-117050 $22.95/ C-120084 $16.95). I also used the Rich Razzleberry, More Mustard and Old Olive Card Stock and inks. I love this as it reminds me of a set that only appeared in the Summer Mini 2 years ago. I also used a bit of the sponging technique. I dabbed my sponge into More Mustard, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks. I then used the "Most Used" stamp in my collection-Itty Bitty Background (#114996, $14.95). I hope you are looking forward to the New Mini. It will be going out to those who have been current customers. Need one? Email me and I will get one out to you. May 1st-I will have the Button on the side so that you can download the online version.

Stamp-A-Stack At Caribou Coffee Shop.

Hi Stamping Fans,

It's another great stamping week. I had a 10-10-10 or Stamp a stack at Caribou Coffee shop this past weekend. Everyone had a wonderful time. My guest, 10 of them, made 10 cards for $10. They picked from these 5 cards and made up to 3 per card.

Here is a technique I showed a few guest. A Peek into a New product coming in the New Summer Mini-beginning May 1st. I sprayed Vanilla Smooch Spritz(#118772 $4.95). THIS IS A COOL PRODUCT!!!! See the Shimmer.

Enjoy and as always-share this with others who enjoy Creativity.

Lavender Bath Salts Box -My Trades.

Wow-So many cool ideas shared at the Stampin' Up!® Milwaukee Regional. These were the trades that I gave out so that I could have some wonderful ideas to share with all of you later on. I used the Bitty Box for this fun Lavender Bath Salts idea. This is a Big Shot die-Stampin' Up! Bitty Box and Small envelope die (#115967 $42.95). The stamp Set is Herb Expressions (#113224 $32.95). I used Sage Shadow ink and C.S., and Lovely Lilac ink-two of the colors we will be saying goodbye to. Also-I used Inside was Lavender Bath salts that I divided up into 60 boxes. No Greeting-the idea is fun without one.

The second idea was a set that I Love but haven't done enough with. This is Dream Greetings (#114395 18.95). Perhaps in the next few days I can pull out another idea with this set before it goes back into the drawer. I used Melon Mambo and Basic Black C.S. and Staz-On Black ink.

Enjoy and pass me on to someone who needs a creative email!!!

Happy Spring, Happy Easter, April Specials Too!

Hi there, I am back from The Zaraza's First Family Trip. You know that I survived just by me writing this!! It was just fine. Traveling to Florida with daughters- 29 mo. and 4 1/2 yr. olds and the Hubby-25 hours in a car. Anybody groaning. Believe it or not-The kids did really great. It was the trip back that was a bit tough for the grown-ups. Lots of detours through the mountains, strange incidents on the roadway. We saw a car flipped over and then just 2 minutes later-a boat was flipped over-gas smell and people standing around smoking. PEOPLE!!!!

So-it's all good-our land that we checked out is in St. Augustine-Anastasia Island-Inter-coastal-Beautiful and we just wanted to see what was going on in the area. It had been 6 years since we were last there (pre-Children-I remember it Fondly!!). So Much has changed, lots of New buildings, Sub-divisions, Hotels and Gated Resort communities and Lots of For Sale Everywhere. Practically every other home was for sale. Sad.

Truly -The Best highlights were my kids enjoying the Beach. They Loved it. The Pure Joy-That was what will make the trip memorable. I saw lots and lots of wildlife-those of you that know me well know I am living up to my nickname-Goose! However-there sure were a lot of Vultures following us along the way!! We drove through 9 states-some we had to due to construction. I took a lot of photos and Yes-I will be backing up my computer tonight!

Now-On to the pictures. Here was a total case from Fellow Demonstrator friend and my Web designer-Amy Celonas. It was so nifty I just decided it did not need any improvement. So-Happy Easter-Not to be just celebrated on the day alone!!!:

Here comes a Fun project-this nifty basket. Can you guess how I made this?

Yes-The Big Shot was involved.

OK-I will tell you. It's the Stampin' Up!® Bigz L Die-the Mini Milk Carton. (#117310, $32.95). I love this die. I cut out two to make 1 basket. Stay tuned for more projects and YES-I will make another Video Soon as I have been inspired by using these dies, cutting them apart and making something else. I also used the BoHo Blossoms Punch (#110711, $15.95) and the 5-Petal Punch for the leaves (#109041, 15.95). To give the basket a bit of texture-I used Texturz Plates Kit #4 (114531, $9.95-set of 3-6 designs). See-The Big Shot is used a lot in my work. -If you are interested in getting a Big Shot-Buy it through me this month-I am throwing in a die of your choice up to $19.95 to my USA only Readers-YOU!!!-For Free during the month of APRIL.  AND-My APRIL special for New Demonstrators in the USA who sign up under me-A Free Current Stamp Set of your choice up to $35.00, 5 new Samples made with the Big Shot and A stamp kit of projects (using ideas from your Demo Kit) to make with your new customers and Hostesses!! Hi Stamping Fans.

I want to thank all of you that placed orders during my Celebrate with me weekend. The Winner of my Blog Candy is-Kim M. from WI. YEA! and thanks for playing. Your Candy will go out today…

Now-On to my next Post and fun Children Party ideas. Although I have done similar ideas in the past-the inspiration from these ideas came from two Demo's. Pennie M. and Krista-Anna B.

The last Kids party was for 8 year old's and this was two of the ideas we made.

This is a fun Memo/Bulletin board for a child. Any age would like this-I even make them for your hands on workshops as well.

Here was a example of the dry erase part that I came up with for this project. I realized that I needed more than a cork board piece so I came up with cutting to shape with our Medium Clear Window Sheet (#114323 $4.95 for two 12×12 Sheets) and attached with mini glue dots (#103683 $4.95). I used the DSP The Write Stuff Specialty (# 115674  $11.95) Love this paper!! I used the Big Shot to cut out the Cork Board with our Clear Circle die (#114533 $19.96). and of course the Letters were done with the S.U. Timeless Type Alphabet junior set of 12 (#115951 for $74.95)-This is a Must have!!

The next item was a Fun Build -A Bear Bookmark idea shared by Pennie M. and I appreciated her letting me Case it.

If you like what you see and would like to book a Workshop for a Kids party-Contact me Today. I travel up to 3 hours in any direction from Lake Geneva WI!
