Autumn Jars

These are the jars I gave to my Daughters teachers. I needed to get rid of some jars that I had leftover from 2 or 3 Christmases ago. There is a point when having on hand and then a supply becomes too much! ;0) How about you. Any extra jars or containers that you have been waiting to use. NOW is the perfect time to use them. I do not can jars, or preserve. I just like to fill the jars with candy goodies. Homemade by someone else. In this case, I used a well known Autumn mix. Yum!

Supplies I used:

Stamps: Gently Falling #123802 $39.95 (w), #123804 $28.95 (c)

Fabulous Phrases #117002 $37.95 (w), #120501 $26.95 (c) and I used retired sets (Season by Season and yes Itty Bitty Background)

Fabric: Spice Cake #124066 $9.95  I just ripped down the side and tied.

Ink: More Mustard #103162 $5.95, Soft Suede #115657 $5.95

Punch: Decorative Label #120907 $16.95

Added Accessories: Hemp Twine #100982 $2.95, Snail ##104332 $6.95 (refill #104331 $4.50), Dimensionals # 104430 $3.95, Jars.

My Sneak Peek into the New Holiday Mini

Just what you have been promised-a Little Sneak Peek into the New Holiday Mini. It Goes LIVE Sept 1st. In the mean time we have 2 treats for you. The Mini Milk Carton Box Die made two ways but decorated with the New Designer Series paper Spice Cake (#124003 $10.95) and the stamp set Gently Falling (#123802 $39.95 (w), #123804 $28.95 (c). I really am over Summer and can't wait for Fall-My Absolute Favorite Season. I love the chill in the air, leaves just starting to change and fall. Yup, Love It!

So, let's have a look see shall we:

Here is the altered version of this Box:

Isn't this Fun!! I love the new leaves. Easy 2 Step stamping and great to put wherever you want an Autumn touch. What a great box idea. Just by removing the 4th side of the box on two Milk Carton die cuts, put together and add Hemp Twine and look what you have. You must use a Crease pad with this.TIP ALERT: Need a bit more definition if you have had your machine awhile-add a slip of scrap C.S. between the bottom cutting pad and the die. Every machine is different. But since mine is used a lot, I need this little extra.

Here is the Hemp Twine that I dampened with water and curled around one of my kids plastic paint brushes overnight.

Here is the list of the Supplies I used:

New Designer Series Paper: Spice Cake (#124003 $10.95)

Mini Milk Carton Bigz L Die (#117310 $32.95) and a Crease Pad (#113476 $8.95) of course Ya gotta have a Big Shot if you don't already (#113439 $99.95)

Inspiration comes at anytime and from just about anywhere. I am having fun creating with this new Well Worn DSP. After I made my "this Month's Special Band-Aid Box", I started to play with the colors that make up this paper. Not Quite Navy is one of the main colors and one of my least used inks. So, Inspired by this color, I created this box. Of course it is filled with chocolate silly!! But any little treat would be good.

Supplies I used to Create this box:

Designer Series Paper: Well Worn (#122359 $10.95)

My Swaps for Convention 2011

Hello there!

What an AMAZING time I had at convention this year. I hope you followed my Tweets! So much fun. It was high time that I got back to the Stamping Groove that ONLY Convention can give. So, I know a few of you knew I was going to make lots of trades and just from past conventions you knew I made over 700. Since I had 2 daughters in the last few years, my stamping has suffered a bit-Ok just some of the time for serious creativity. I will not sell myself short. Time. Where did it go.

So here is swap #1

I made 210 of these with the In Wilderness Stamp Set (#117040 $21.95 (W), #120537 $16.95 (C). I used the Retiform Grid Technique with a Sponge and Early Espresso Ink and C.S. So Cool. I was told-a Favorite by many.

2nd Swap:

I think I made about 235 of these. Love this set (French Foliage #120845 $19.95 (W) and #121166 $14.95 (C), Truly Fab that it made it back from the Fall and Holiday Mini 2010.

3rd Swap was something quick and easy that I shared with my last few stamp groups and workshops. Inside is a Lemonade drink mix for water bottles. I think I made 155.

So that means 600 swaps plus a 3-D Swap of 16 items-WOW! and all within 2 weeks before Convention. I work Well Under Pressure….

See what I brought back with me. What a Serious Stash. Hard to believe I made it back with only one bag checked. My carry-on's were stuffed.

I look forward to sharing so much more with you-stay tuned.

Candy Corn Boxed Treats

Yummie! Cute boxed filled with Life Savors (that are individually sealed).

So-What do I do with these guys?

It's Octoberfest Weekend in Lake Geneva and of course all the resorts are touting events, dinners, festivals, etc. So, once again the mass of Illinois is descending upon our area. Most are putting away their boats, closing up the home, cabin, cottage, or hole in the wall. :0) It's all good. With out them-our area would probably curl up. Anyhoo-I have been placing a basket out for the the last 6 + years with info and treats for the Lake Path Walkers. I am pier 665 and blessed to live on this incredible Lake. I have snagged a few customers for my classes and events with these unobtrusive treats. Some are just not sure what to think but I know some of you read my blog and are smiling even as you read this. Thank you for not littering on my neighbors yards but actually taking the info with you. This Post is for you….

Here is the path to my left (Black Point is just around the corner to the West).

This our Multi Million Dollar view Baby!!! Thank the Good Lord Everyday for what I have.

What you see if you walk East toward the City of Lake Geneva.

My up close basket with all kinds of info and those cute candy corn boxes.

ENJOY! Happy Columbus Day Weekend!

My World Card Making Day 2010 Projects.

I had an awesome class on Saturday, October 2nd-World Card Making Day. I know it is celebrated by many Stampin' Up! Demonstrators during the first 2 weeks of October but it is definitely celebrated World Wide by all card makers. These were the projects that we made.

Up close leaf:

The card that inspired this class was something I made a few years ago and pulled out of my mass collection of personal samples:

I was also inspired by two other Demo's: Lisa Pratt and her fall leaves class and LeeAnn Greff. Thank You ladies.

ENJOY!

Hem your blessings…..

You Like?

This is the Small Definitely Decorative version of the Hem Your Blessings (#121635 Chocolate/#120188 Crumb Cake $4.95) As you can see I used the Chocolate Chip verse but I added the Crumb Cake Leaves on top of the Chocolate Chip leaves for a twist on the usual. Enjoy.

More Coasters and The Acorn saga continues!

Here is another Fall themed coaster set I made that went over well at a craft fair this weekend.

Ok-So I began picking these guys weeks ago and knew I would try to sell these.

So-your asking-did she really sell these and did anyone buy them?

You Betcha' they did!!! I sold over a half dozen and still have a few for next weekend's event. I even had one woman say that she finds them a nuisance and kicks them off her porch. After a few minutes of discussing what to with them she said " I guess I take for granted what drops out my back door". I do know a certain big box store is selling them in their home goods dept for $13.00 for a small package-and they are from China-Plastic acorns-Small. Not Large and homegrown in the USA!

Need I say that I am married to a Cheap Polish Man with all sorts of ideas to make money!

NEED some of these?-Contact me and I will sell what I have left. Pine Cones-Yup-got those too, in all sizes. You have to smile. Share me with someone today.

Fall Coasters and Extremly Large Acorns!

Love Fall. Love , Love, Love-Love Fall!. Ok-It's not officially that date on the calendar But it sure feels like it over here. Here is a set of coasters I put together this weekend. I like it so much that I making more for craft fairs. I used the New French Foliage (W)#120845 $19.95, (C) #121166 $14.95. You can find this set in our Holiday Mini catalog. Download a mini now or contact me and I will send one to you.

Ok-Check out the SIZE of these Acorns. No Retouching-No Photoshop on this. That's my 21/2 Yr Old daughters hand next to mine. These are White Oak Acorns. So Amazing. The largest ones were just short of the size of Golf Balls. Do not walk under these trees! For those of you not anywhere near 80 + acres  of trees or even a few oak trees-THis IS NOT the NORM. I know these trees are at least 100+ years old and my Hubby has been here since the 70's. Never has he seen this type of production. It's got to be it's Best year Ever. A Serious Bumper Crop.

Of course I will be sharing with you later in the week, what I am doing with these.

Enjoy!
