A Favor Box
Here is the Favor box we made at my Holiday Stamp Camp last week. I think it was a big hit.
Just take two Fancy Favor die cut boxes and place one into the other. I used different Card Stock for everyone to choose from (like Choc Chip and Early Espresso and Whisper White) but always used the Frostwood Lodge DSP. It's a perfect little box for candy treats, gift card, warm mittens, etc. I wish I could say I came up with this idea but I didn't. Every month Stampin' Up!® has these amazing ideas in our Stampin' Success magazine. I loved it but altered the original idea to fit what I had on hand. I plan on showing you another sample in the future when I have the countdown to Christmas ideas next month.
Supplies:
Frostwood Lodge DSP (#124002 $10.95)
Garden Green Smooth C.S. 12 X 12 (#124278 $5.95)

World Card Making Day 2011

On Saturday, October 1st, 2011 was World Card Making Day and 12 guest made these Fun projects:
My guests made a Box with three mini cards and envelopes, a Beautiful Fall card using the Size E Clear Block, Gift card holder, coasters and Home Decor idea. The Big Shot was the biggest tool for this class. I know it is "World Card Making Day" but I always make projects besides cards. We used the brand New Bigz Die Petite Pocket to make a cute gift card or Treat holder with the Pumpkin punched out. Oh so cute! Then we made a fun display for their home using leftover cinnamon sticks. Need to freshen them up-use a nutmeg grater or a nail file/sandpaper to enhance the aroma. The last project was the coasters using the Big Shot Multipurpose adhesive. This project was probably a Favorite. Everyone saw the potential for Holiday Gift Giving.
I also see a chance for me to make a video demonstrating this so easy idea. Plus, a few guests asked if I had info on this as they probably will forget when late November comes up! I will be working on that this week. It is time for a video. I also stated back in July one of my main goals is to have more videos for you. I am working on that for you now that the girls are both in school. I still like stamping and creating Late at night but lately, I am getting a lot more done during the day. Does that ring true for some of you?
So Thank You to My Guests, and those of you who could not make it-I have the projects finished and will be delivering them to you today!!! I also want to send a Shout out to the Demo's who I traded with at Convention and saw on their sites for ideas that inspired theses samples: Sandy Carlson, Gladys Reinks, and Becky Roberts. Thanks so much! You gals Rock. I will send an extra Special Shout out to Sudsol who at Convention sponsored a trading session and Sandy's Box with cards inspired me for this class as well as this Month's Special.

Candy Bar Holder and Tutorial
Hmmm, nothing like a candy bar. A highly decorated candy bar holder, even better!
How is this for Fun. Easy to decorate a Candy Bar of your choice. The bar fits nice and snug. I decided that you should have a picture tutorial for this candy bar holder:
Measurements are:
10 1/4" X 2 3/4" Length
Then score it using our Brand New Simply Scored Tool from the Holiday Mini. I love it.
Simply Scored scoring tool #122334 $29.95-What a Great Gift-To YOU!

Score at 5" and 5 1/4". Then flip and score lengthwise on both sides 1/4".
Then cut those little tabs.

Use your Bone Folder (#102300 $6.95) to smooth back creases.

Snail it! (#104332 $6.95 and refill #104331 $4.50)

Now put it together. Behold…the Box!

Now you want to decorate your box.
I used Basic Black C.S. and Frightful Sight DSP.
Measurements for these are :
4 7/8" X 2 1/8" for the Black C.S.
2" X 4 3/4" for the DSP

Then I used the Big Shot for the die cuts. I used Whisper White and Basic Black C.S.

Then I used Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade markers to decorate the Candy stamp. TIP ALERT: Don't forget to use your markers. They really are a great tool and you can get so much more out of your stamps. Another reason – I give a pack of markers to my downline when she or he has reached the $1,000 in sales mark within their first 6 months.

Just cut out using the Postage stamp punch.

Next put the two Circle Die Cuts together with snail and added a Ghost. A touch of Lucky Limeade under the ghost adds a bit of shadow, slime, glow, you decide.
Now piece everything together with dimensionals to add a bit of lift. A real 3-D Candy Bar.

Here are the measurements again:
10 1/4" X 2 3/4"
Fold/score/crease 5" and 5 1/4" and then turn and score 1/4" on both long sides.
The outside papers:
4 7/8" X 2 1/8"
2" X 4 3/4"
Supplies I used:
Stamp Set: Spooky Bingo Bits (#123944 (w) $37.95, #123946 (c) $27.95)
Card Stock: Cajun Craze (#119684 $6.95), Basic Black (#121045 $6.95), Whisper White (#100730 $8.50)
Designer Series paper: (#122351 $10.95)
Ink: Staz On Black (#101406 $7.95)

Just what you have been promised-a Little Sneak Peek into the New Holiday Mini. It Goes LIVE Sept 1st. In the mean time we have 2 treats for you. So, let's have a look see shall we:
Here is the altered version of this Box:
Isn't this Fun!! I love the new leaves. Easy 2 Step stamping and great to put wherever you want an Autumn touch. What a great box idea. Just by removing the 4th side of the box on two Milk Carton die cuts, put together and add Hemp Twine and look what you have. You must use a Crease pad with this.TIP ALERT: Need a bit more definition if you have had your machine awhile-add a slip of scrap C.S. between the bottom cutting pad and the die. Every machine is different. But since mine is used a lot, I need this little extra.
Here is the Hemp Twine that I dampened with water and curled around one of my kids plastic paint brushes overnight.

Here is the list of the Supplies I used:

A Quilt Card
One of the hottest trends in the stamping world right now is making quilt cards. Of course the Big Shot is involved!!! This is a total case from my 2nd level Upline Jill Olsen. I have used the combos Daffodil Delight and Black, and Basic Gray and Pink Pirouette. This one is Basic Black and Pretty in Pink.
I used the textured impressions Embossing Folders: Square Lattice (#119976, $7.95) and Perfect Polka Dots (#117335, $7.95). The star in this is one of our new Triple Layer Punches. I am using Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (#122464, $23.95). I know, it is expensive, but if you want quality tools-you will find them with Stampin' Up!®. Place an order online today by clicking on my shopping cart at the top right hand corner. It will take you right to my Stampin' Up!® store.

Teacher Gifts
Yesterday was Victoria's last day of Kindergarden. In a few months-off to 1st grade. Addie finished last Friday. Of course one has to finish a school year with teacher gifts. I brought out my favorite Die-Fancy Favor Box and used some of my favorite DSP stash. I also used the So Many Thanks stamp that is going to be retired this month. Addie helped me stamp and color in the hearts. Not bad for a 3 1/2 yr. old. I add a bit of candy and my mini note pads and pens. For the added touch I embossed the tissue paper. I think the teachers gifts turned out great.
Tissue paper up close.

My Spring Stamp-A-Stack
A week ago I had my Spring Stamp-A-Stack Class at Caribou Coffee Shop. I had 10 people and included my newest recruit Amy and her son. We had a Spring Theme that included Easter and Mother's Day. I always include different sayings since not everyone wishes to make certain themed cards. I just bring the samples and let them loose. A few of these cards are from other Demonstrators that I made my own and the Mother's Day card with the Big Pink Flower -Directly from Stampin' Up!®(Bigz L Die Fun Flowers #121812 $32.95-Featured in the Occasions Mini-Good until April 30th!).
I gave everyone a choice of this stamp set-A Flower for All Seasons (#111592, $14.95). I bought it and did nothing with it. I think these samples turned out great!
Enjoy!
Easter and the Hunt
I have had enough Easter Egg Hunts until next year. We visited 4 hunts. Enough candy to last until Halloween. Gotta hide it or the master of the household will eat 1/2 of the stash.
I made a few last minute Easter Baskets for the awesome Barista's that make my Coffee (café Misto with a shot, non-fat, extra foamy and Iced Coffee non-fat) as well as a few surprised people in town. I think I made some ones day today at Walgreens' in Lake Geneva. After attending Sunrise service at 6:00AM, I decided to pick up a few last minute treats for the"older child" in my home. I remember working Every Holiday not to long ago and how hard it can be helping people not always in the best mood. After I made my purchase, I gave one of my decorated Kit-Kat Bunnies and wished the check out gal a Very Happy Easter. Was I surprised when she almost dived over the counter to Hug me in thanks. I think it meant a lot to her, and it gave me such a warm Fuzzy. I am glad it made her day. You just never know-someone may just need a Kit Kat Break (Hum the Tune from the commercial now)!!
Addie on the Hunt!

Tori running to her age grouped eggs.

Happy Easter Everyone.
Enjoy!
