An Easter Treat Box

I made this fun little box for a workshop this past weekend. Spring is close, time for Easter ideas.

Cute, Huh!

Hmmm, How did I make this Nifty Window you ask?

Just scroll down to get my picture tutorial:

Cut out a Box #2 pattern.

Now Close your multipurpose Platform, place cutting pad on top and then add your pattern.

Add label framelit on the front of the box. Place cutting pad on top and run through the Big Shot.

Now it's cut out and you have a label die piece to use later.

Now flip it to the inside. Cut out a window sheet to fit.

Add glue dots or Sticky strip tape or Snail-a.k.a. Booger Maker tape!

Place window sheet on top.

Turn over and you are ready to go.

Happy Valentine’s Day 2012

So, are you all staring at your stamp supplies looking for a last minute idea for Valentine's Day? Well, whether it's for your kids class or a lil' something to give friends or co-workers, this little treat is perfect.

I came up with this really simple idea.

On mine I gave thanks and handed these out to a few customers but the Valentine's Day stamps will be perfect for this item. The white strip (it's only a long strip of white and then forked) is only glued right where the fork in the tail is. It just slips right over.

Here is the cover without the belly band:

The inside:

Here are the dimensions on Confetti White C.S. so that you can see it better.

Length-  6 7/8"

Width- 2 7/8"

at 2 7/8 run the Simply scored tool over the C.S. and score. Turn the piece over and do it again. or just move it over slightly to 3 3/8". Very Easy

ENJOY and Happy Valentine's Day!

Snow Day

Finally, It snowed around here. The girls were very happy as was the Snow-Plowing Hubby! My youngest daughter is so confused and asked if Christmas was coming because it snowed. This was the first Holiday season that I can really remember that we did not have Snow, even for New Years. Anyway, Snowflakes are still in as is Snowmen. They carry beyond the Holiday and basically cruise throughout the Winter. I love Snowflakes especially.

Here is another Candy Treat that I whipped up:

You can see my video I made for this so easy treat from an earlier post.

Supplies I used:

No Stamps-Shocking!

DSP: Pocket of Posies #122354 $10.95

Card Stock: Whisper White #100730 $8.50

Sizzlit Decorative Strip Die: Northern Frost #120901 $21.95

Accessories: Ribbon-Retired White 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones: #119246 $4.95,

Candy.

I used this recently for a Tip Container for services done. Truly exciting when someone gets a decorated tip!!! It is unexpected. Packaging really is

everything.

Here are some photo's of the storm-or Finally We Got Snow!!!!

The storm is moving across the lake and looks like fog. Normally you can see across- so spooky and yet really cool.

My Bird feeder-Love My Birds!

Countdown 2 Christmas 2011-Day 3

Ok, I admit, I skipped a day. Totally not intentional. I have been feeling under the weather, Terrible back pain spasms with stomach pain. Great-Just what I ordered for Christmas!! Anyway-Health is always more important than blogging. But I am here with Day 3 and hoping to Not skip a day again. We have Santa Sticks.

More things to do with those awesome cellophane bags. I made 30 of these for a gal pal for her kids classmates. So Cute. I used Twizzlers, but i have also used Pencils-2 fit perfectly.

I am also sorry the pictures are just not editing correctly. Oh, How I hope the Elves at the Fix-it-shop find out what's wrong and fix it fast.

Enjoy!

Countdown 2 Christmas 2011-Day 2

Here is another Fun idea. This Holiday "purse like" candy treat is perfect and so easy to make. I am sure you will see this again for different occasions from me. I thought it would be even better to demonstrate in a video for you.

Sadly-My camera died right after making this video. It had to be taken in for fixing before the warranty ran out on Dec 30th -FOR THE HOLIDAYS!! WHAAAA!!! So I am going to have to use my iPhone and perhaps a throw away camera for Christmas. So, sorry for the quality of the photo today and all posts until I get my camera back.

Countdown 2 Christmas 2011-Day 1

It's that time. One week from Today is Christmas Day. Are you ready? One week left of school before the kids are off for Christmas break. That I am not sure anyone is truly ever ready for.

Are you ready for Teacher gifts? I got a Nifty idea for you. When our Holiday Mini came out, I saw those amazing little Cellophane Bags. I bought lots of them and have used them for all sorts of treats. They are very thin so you have to really be careful what can "fit" inside them.

Here is the perfect example of what fits! Please excuse the glass vase but it was the best item to hold it up without to much distraction.

I found these tiny peppermint pillows in a specialty store and I knew these would be perfect. Of course "M&M" like candy will work just as well. I did not staple but rather used snail to tape the scallop Designer Series paper together. Makes it a bit easier to get to the treat without destroying the package.

Up close:

Just a bit of Bling on the tag.

The perfect way to fill these little bags is by making a Funnel/trough out of Card stock. Length can be at least 4" or more and the width is 1" and then folded in 1/2. Very easy to get tiny treats inside. (Making the fold-use that awesome Simply Scored tool-HINT: Perfect Holiday Gift!!)

Supplies I used:

Stamps: Grateful Greetings: #116511 $36.95, Winter Post: #111780 $26.95
