Countdown 2 Christmas 2011-Day 3

Ok, I admit, I skipped a day. Totally not intentional. I have been feeling under the weather, Terrible back pain spasms with stomach pain. Great-Just what I ordered for Christmas!! Anyway-Health is always more important than blogging. But I am here with Day 3 and hoping to Not skip a day again. We have Santa Sticks.

More things to do with those awesome cellophane bags. I made 30 of these for a gal pal for her kids classmates. So Cute. I used Twizzlers, but i have also used Pencils-2 fit perfectly.

I am also sorry the pictures are just not editing correctly. Oh, How I hope the Elves at the Fix-it-shop find out what's wrong and fix it fast.

Enjoy!

Countdown 2 Christmas 2011-Day 1

It's that time. One week from Today is Christmas Day. Are you ready? One week left of school before the kids are off for Christmas break. That I am not sure anyone is truly ever ready for.

Are you ready for Teacher gifts? I got a Nifty idea for you. When our Holiday Mini came out, I saw those amazing little Cellophane Bags. I bought lots of them and have used them for all sorts of treats. They are very thin so you have to really be careful what can "fit" inside them.

Here is the perfect example of what fits! Please excuse the glass vase but it was the best item to hold it up without to much distraction.

I found these tiny peppermint pillows in a specialty store and I knew these would be perfect. Of course "M&M" like candy will work just as well. I did not staple but rather used snail to tape the scallop Designer Series paper together. Makes it a bit easier to get to the treat without destroying the package.

Up close:

Just a bit of Bling on the tag.

The perfect way to fill these little bags is by making a Funnel/trough out of Card stock. Length can be at least 4" or more and the width is 1" and then folded in 1/2. Very easy to get tiny treats inside. (Making the fold-use that awesome Simply Scored tool-HINT: Perfect Holiday Gift!!)

Happy December-My Awesome Special -Dec. 2011

Happy December 1st-Bunny Bunny!!!

I know-I was like MIA there for over a week. I did some much needed Family time (Everyone is at the moment-Healthy!!) and in last few days, put up Family Christmas. It took 3 Days. We just put up our 12' Slim Pre-lit Christmas tree that we bought after the season for DIRT CHEAP. I have been wanting a Pre-Lit tree-like "Forever" and that it was a Really Big Tree. One of the many jobs in my life was working at a Christmas Shop here in Lake Geneva and one of my tasks was making trees Pre-Lit for customers. I did a pretty good job and I learned a lot. So my trees up to this point were OK. They looked nice. BUT -The one that is in my Front Room is AMAZING!!!!!

I will post the Tree picture in an upcoming post.

On to this month's Special from Me.

I make these for Craft fairs and the original snowman idea came from a Holiday card posted onto our Stampin' Up! site from Demonstrator Sandra Greene Compton-AWESOME! I Liked Her snowman as he had "Personalty" and her background was the perfect look of winter. I decided this is the perfect Dude for my Soup and was inspired for this month's Special.

Isn't this Fun?!!!!!!

Do You Want One???

If you place a $50.00 order (USA only) with me during the month of December 2011, You will get one along with directions for making one for yourself. As an added bonus, Place at least a $100 order or more and get A FREE White Gel Pen from me (Value $3.95). Because you will need to add that glimmer to your snowman's eye's.

A Favor Box

Here is the Favor box we made at my Holiday Stamp Camp last week. I think it was a big hit.

Just take two Fancy Favor die cut boxes and place one into the other. I used different Card Stock for everyone to choose from (like Choc Chip and Early Espresso and Whisper White) but always used the Frostwood Lodge DSP. It's a perfect little box for candy treats, gift card, warm mittens, etc. I wish I could say I came up with this idea but I didn't. Every month Stampin' Up!® has these amazing ideas in our Stampin' Success magazine. I loved it but altered the original idea to fit what I had on hand. I plan on showing you another sample in the future when I have the countdown to Christmas ideas next month.

Supplies:

Frostwood Lodge DSP (#124002 $10.95)

Garden Green Smooth C.S. 12 X 12 (#124278 $5.95)

My Holiday Lollie, Yo Yo, Whatever You call it!

Have you tried making one yet?

I really Love these things.

This was the final version that everyone made at my Awesome Holiday Stamp camp this past weekend. They got to use our New Velvet ribbon. This one was my sample before I realized I did not have enough Always Artichoke 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon(#121000 $6.95) . So they made theirs with our new 3/8" velvet stitched ribbon (125637 $7.95). Once they got use to the Simply Scored Scoring tool and shaping these guys and then using the glue guns, Everyone Loved 'em! We used the Specialty Designer Series paper-First Edition (#121878 $12.95) and Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005 $4.95).

You can use any scoring tool, even our Fiskars Cutting tool with scoring blade. BUT, our Simply Scored Scoring tool (#122334 $29.95) is just the best! I think so much so that I gave two away at my Holiday Stamp Camp as a door prize with a $50.00 order or more.

Drum Roll Please!!!

The Winners are

Jane S. and Pam S.

Yippee!! Congrats Ladies and thanks to all of you that came to my 14th Annual Holiday Stamp Camp.

I will post some more photo's in the next few days.

Enjoy!

Hello November

Yes, I do know it is the 3rd of November. I have a Great excuse for Not posting. Ok, Many excuses. It was my Daughter Addison's 4th B-day Yesterday which was a crazy day anyway. Plus, I have been getting last minute touches for my 2-Day Holiday Stamp Camp that is this weekend. THEN the coughing crud hit our entire family and I finally went on meds and of course almost forgot to work on my Nov Special. Speaking of which:

It's my November Online Special:

Just go to my Specials at the top of the Blog and click on my Specials to see what this is. When you place an online order of $50 or more (before Shipping and Handling, taxes). USA orders only.

So, would you like another peek at something from my Holiday Stamp Camp?

I really liked the idea from the Stampin' Up!® artists for the ornament on page 45 of the Idea Book and Catalog. I also realized not many people actually make some of the projects because they think some of them are too hard. No Worries. Here is my version and what my guests will be making on Sat. Nov. 5th and Sunday Nov. 6th from 1:30 PM-6:00 PM both days at the Comfort Suites of Lake Geneva, WI. If you are nearby-Buy a ticket here on my blog or contact me today if you think you might like to come.

I have a tree that drops these little guys and it was easy to collect these almost pine cone looking pods. Oops, that reminds me, I need to paint the pine cones before this weekend. I thought they looked better-my opinion!

Are you still thinking about becoming a Demonstrator. You are So in luck. The Free Big Shot or $100 in FREE Stampin' Up! product Special has been extended until Nov 11th, 2011. Whoo Hoo!!! Are you a former Demonstrator? Just dropped? Guess what-You can sign right back up!!!! Click here to get more info!

Right now-It is GOOD TO BE THE HOSTESS!!!! Just click HERE!

If you can't actually have a workshop with me-Place at least a $150 order online and be your own Hostess. To get in on this extra Extra Special-Place at least $350 order. Just click on my Shopping cart at the top of the page and ENJOY!
