Hi Folks, LONG post today, but it's all good.
I spent my First Official day of Autumn with my girls. We went to church late service, then did a few errands. Then, we drove to one of my Favorite Orchards-Edwards Apple Orchard in Poplar Grove, IL. Now, I will tell you that I really did not think it was going to be all that busy. Yea, Seriously! I will tell you, I think over 5,000 people were there. Man, were there the people. If My Hubby had been with us, HE would have turned around and either gone home or found a local orchard that would have had maybe 20 people visiting. HA! Check it out.
Ok, probably not the best shot, I think Tori might have lost a few of my photo's.
Nonetheless, My daughters and I had a really great time. They were both really good and they only took off in different directions twice and I only had one small panic attack. It was a good day!
Addie was able to go for a pony ride.
We went on a wagon ride through the orchard and saw the usual items, pumpkins, heavy laden Apple trees, and stalks of my favorite- Indian Corn.
They have the Best Apple Pie and Vanilla Ice Cream that I have ever tasted. I even had my first Official Hot cider of the season. Yum!
I bought a dozen Apple Cider Donuts-They have the Best-Trust me-you will just have to take my word for it. Delicious!!!Besides, A Former Cop should "Know" what a "Best Donut" should taste like!!!
Ok, Ready for my Autumn Card-Here we go:
Showing the Awesome Thinlit card idea:
I will share with you that the "Autumn" is from a Retired set Season by Season. No reason to not to try to recreate in My Digital Studio. I used Sweater Weather DSP, Crushed Curry C.S., Stamps Gently Falling and Fabulous Phrases. This is the Thinlits Label Card #133479 for $32.95. The other is Circle Card Thinlit #133480 $32.95.
Isn't this the coolest. It's a card that moves. When I was at Convention, first caught a glimpse of these and knew I had to have this set of the two that came out. See more with this video from Stampin' Up!®.
I hope you EnJOYed my First Day of Autumn. And may you find a bit of time to just sit back and Enjoy the beautiful Season of Autumn.
