To Glitter or Not

Laura · November 21, 2013 · 1 Comment

To Glitter or Not to Glitter, that is the question.

Sometimes you have a really cool card idea and it's perfect (at least to me) just the way it is.

And yet, it just might need that little bit of something. Glitter may just be what you need.

Here, I will show you what I mean.

The technique/tool I am using here is using Painters Tape.

Without-Glitter

I am Happy just as is. But-I know some of you are serious Glitter Queens!

Here is a Picture tutorial of using Painters tape. Any will do. I think I used Scotch Blue Painters Tape.

 1. Pull off a strip of tape per ink pad color. Lay them each on each color. Tap each strip to pick up color.

2. Pull off pad and place on cardstock. I used Whisper white for my top layer.

3. Gently smooth out then pull up.

Ta Da-1st layer done:

4. Do the same with steps with the next color. I used Soft Sky for the first layer and Marina Mist for the lower layer.

Add-trees

Now ink up the trees Early Espresso ink and stamp on top of your strips of color. Did you know that Lovely As a Tree set is the oldest Stamp set in our Catalog. All of us wonder if this is the year they will retire it-every year. But-it's just perfect for so many things. Think not just Christmas but New Years, With Sympathy, Masculine cards, Autumn, etc. It now come in Clear mount besides wood. If you haven't gotten yours yet, do. It is very versatile. (w)128655 $27.95, (c)127793 $19.95

Add-Merry-Christmas

Merry Christmas is added. Then the layers of Marina Mist, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake as the base.

Without-Glitter

So-Which way do You prefer? With or Without Glitter?

With-Glitter

A little Dazzling Diamond Glitter goes a long way. #102023 $4.50
