This was the card I had my guests make at my Annual Fabulous Frigid February Stamp Fest. They could choose the Greeting on the card. I saw a similar card on Pinterest but took the butterfly a bit farther with my sample. First-Enjoy the card:
Isn't that Beauty! The Designer Series Paper is what really makes it sharp looking. Yes, it's DSP-Not stamped. The paper is Watercolor Wonder (# 132994 $10.95) from Our Occasions Mini-Celebrate the everyday. Love it.
Now-I did add Bling to the Butterfly after I watercolored it with ink but I added a fun technique of dipping a Q-Tip into Illuminate Ink and rubbing it on the Butterfly. Wait-Here look:
Now just "paint" it on -rub it on, burnish it on.
Trust me, it looks better in person. You let the ink dry and it leaves a bit of shimmer-enough to be slightly noticeable. I have not used this ink in awhile and it was fun to bring it out for my guests. It's a product that I don't see to much mention of by fellow demonstrators and I thought it was high time to break it out of my ink drawer. Most of the time you ink it but I am showing how you can just add a bit of interest with a Q-tip. Take Note all of you Mixed Media stampers-perfect to add to your projects. This Illuminate is a watermark ink:
It's a Pigment pad with glimmer in it. #126857 $10.95. Click here to shop for it.
