A week ago Monday, I shared a bit of the Luck of the Irish with 5 year old’s at the Brown Bear Day Care and Learning Center in Harvard, Il. I had been asked to give a little time and a project for these kids by a lovely gal named Stella. I recently donated a kids B-day party/Basket to the Friends of the Library event and Stella found my information and contacted me. I was delighted and showed up with a fun project perfect for their age group. I was thrilled to find out none of the kids had allergies so I was able to share the chocolate gold coins as well as the plastic gold coins for their Pots o’ Gold.
I showed them how to create their pots with Glitter, Oh Yes I DID!! No worries. I cleaned up and donated extra packs of glue!
They were able to fill their pots with candy and chocolate and strands of gold filler.
Of course there was a bit of green glittery shamrocks to place on their pots as well.
First, Add the glue. They had no problem with that.
Then-
The GLITTER!!!!
MORE GLITTER! I think I gave the employees heart palpitations!!
Get every bit of detail:
Adding your name so that you can take “your” pot O’ Gold home later.
I left the best for last. This young man, who I believe said his name was Grant, absolutely cracked me up.
Very serious crafter. I let him know that he could add more gold strands. He did. And added more and more. Finally as if exasperated he said, “Too Much”!!!! Oh how he made us laugh. It’s moments like this that remind me, I need to just go and share what I love to do. Wherever, whenever.
Which reminded me of our Stampin’ Up! Statement of the Heart
To love what we do
and share what we love
as we help others enjoy creativity
and worthwhile accomplishments…
in this we make a difference!
Before I go, I have to share that the Gold Card Tin AND the GLimmer Paper are no longer available-Sold out!!
I know, I know!!!! SO, if you want any of the SAB items before they sell out, You need to place your orders ASAP. Obviously certain items were Very popular. I wonder what will sell out next.
Happy Shopping!
