Have you seen any falling leaves yet?
I live in a lovely spot of Lake Geneva, WI, where I have the lake in the front of our home and 80 acres of woods on the backside. You can travel up the road and there is farmland with cornfields. The leaves have begun falling a little bit throughout these areas. I drive down my road, cottonwood tree leaves litter the sides of the road. I head up to the top of our road, a full branch of Oak leaves is laying in the middle of the road. Getting closer to the farmland, a Maple leaf hits my window on its descent. Yes, my favorite time of the year is coming. Autumn. But, before that happens, you need to get this great stamp set that will be gone by Sept 1st. In the upcoming days I will have more samples on why you just might like to get this limited offer. Check out this lovely card idea and then a stepped up version with a few extra touches.
Simple Watercolored falling leaves. Thank You card.
Now, a stepped-up version, using the dog-eared technique.
Believe it or not, it’s a perfect way to use cardstock that has dented edges. It’s a technique done on purpose called Dog-eared. Gently bend back the edges, and you will see it separate. Gently push back on the one side. That’s it. Go ahead, use your slightly bent edged paper that you thought was unusable.
Add a few extra leaves, color, cut out, and pop-up with dimensionals. I added just a bit of sponging of Pumpkin Pie ink on the edges and throughout the Watercolor paper.
The little dots are from the Timeless Texture stamp set.
