Time for the fair pictures. This year, I had the opportunity to teach 4 classes. It was wet and damp conditions throughout the 6 days. We all know, cardstock, designer papers and water do NOT mix! But I made it through. I even provided bags for the three of the four days of projects. My theme this year was packaging. The first class was on opening day and I knew I would not have a lot of people. I chose to do a technique class with our Brusho product. It was a big hit! Just the right amount of people to teach and still be able to give hands-on help.
This was my sample for a covered notebook. I embossed using Versamark and white Embossing powder, three different ideas, on Watercolor papers ahead of time. Embossing would not have worked in this setting. We used metallic thread, versamark, and crumb cake ink for the collage background. I will say, that I went through a LOT of dimensionals on this day.
I spy a new piece of hardware from the Holiday Catalog. Page 43, Galvanized Clips.
Pure JOY!
The first day, I was able to take pictures. The second, third, and fourth days, none! I was busy and it rained. But I will share the samples.
For my second day, we made a coffee cup treat holder. Everyone picked a spot with a design they liked. I even had candy to coordinate the papers.
The third day, we decked out the mini pizza boxes to hold fun candle treats. I really wish you could have seen all the samples. Some were cupcakes, the lime tea, and strawberry lemonade. My sample was a quick one in the car before I stepped out. Ignore the fact that the Life’s short card fell right before I took the picture!!!! I missed it.
The backside.
On the last day, I had a home decor idea with the lots of tins that I have on hand. I sell them in my (for sale) page up top on my blog. I really have to say, THANK YOU to all that came out, on the last day, even in the rain, to create with me. You all deserve a medal. The daisy punch was a bit hard to use in the dampness as it was misting by that point.
I used the jute ribbon from our holiday catalog last year. You can still purchase it in our clearance rack for super cheap.
I am so grateful to Kathy P. for letting me be a part of the Learning Coop for the 5th year. It was fun for me and it appears it was fun for those who came. I wanted everyone to know, this is donated time and product. I do not get a budget. If someone would be interested in Sponsoring me next year, contact me. I would appreciate it!
ENJOY!
