Hello everyone. I trust you all had a lovely Christmas and Hanukkah, Boxing Day and currently Kwanza. So awesome. I had a beautiful, quiet day on the couch, Christmas with my husband and two daughters. I am thrilled that the 9ft tree that I bought a year ago is still working perfectly. Nowadays, that’s huge. I gave up my 12′ tree a year ago after the lights finally die in three sections, which is most of the tree. That one was from Sam’s Club and only $60, but it lasted nine years. The quality was very good. So far, this one is doing great. I’m hoping to get at least another 5+ years. The struggle is real. Do you have a real tree or an artificial tree? I love my artificial trees as I have many throughout the house. It is cheaper that way and far less mess to deal with.
Snacks and Dinner. Don made us a beautiful Standing Crown Roast. Tasty!

I wanted to share with you that my Mom, Frances Joan Harding, 88, passed away on December 13th after a long hard battle of Severe Dementia. Mom was a wonderful fixture of My Stamp classes and Stamp Camps over the first 18 years of my Stampin’ Up business. She was always up for going to one of my events somewhere. I will tell you that I miss her so. I miss telling her of my adventures with my Hubby and my events. The moment I placed her in Assisted Living in Jan 2016, I knew everything had changed. I had been there earlier in the morning, called around 8:00 PM, that Mom had passed. It was with a sense of relief, no more pain, and sadness, confusion, or sorrow. I had been grieving since Jan 2016. I am done grieving. I celebrate my Mom, and all the great times I had with her. She was my cheerleader. I struggled in school until college. Somehow she never gave up on helping me with my dreams. She loved seeing the wildlife I brought into her life through our birdfeeders. I brought her joy in stamping as well. I believe that my Mom peaked in her stamping ability in her early 80’s. It was when I noticed at one of my classes that she had trouble remembering how to use the Booger Maker tape. That was really unusual. It was like it was completely foreign to her. With that, I say, if you have a family member struggling with words, losing things that may be already in their hands, or getting physically lost: Please, start making a checklist and go with them to the Doctor. Looking back over the years, there were more clues then I paid attention to. I was busy with a young family. I know, excuses, right? Please, after this past Holiday season, really think about what is going on in your family. Crazy Aunt Sue, or Grandpa George. Maybe there is more than being a bit senile, forgetfulness. That’s my public announcement.
