Popcorn Pull Treat Tutorial

Laura · September 22, 2012 · Leave a Comment

Are you in the mood for Popcorn?

I guess I have been too since this is the second project this month. You can bet there will be more samples to follow. If you would like to go back to my Halloween treats from September of 2009, I have 4 samples for you of this type of treat. So easy to make so I have a Tutorial for you.

Looking for a fun Treat to hand out this year for Trick Or Treat instead of Candy. Did I just write that? I know-I love candy too but this is so much fun and easy to do, Well just stay with me here on this.

Check it out:

Now just gently pull bow at top:

Ta-Da

Directions:

I added a bit more length to the original directions as I wanted a bit more room especially for thicker pieces.

The main piece of Card Stock is 9 3/4" X 7".

The folds are are at 2 3/4" X 7"

Punch one piece at a time. This type of decorative punch is not made to go through three layers of Card Stock.

I marked it by squeezing a bit then did each one separately. If you have a Crop-a-dile punch-that would be perfect.

Add sticky strip to hold perfectly. If it opened up here accidentally that would be a "Trick" and that is NOT what we want.

I decorated with the New Etruscan Elegance Wheel (#127868 $8.50) using Crumb Cake Ink. Do this step before adding the popcorn inside. Always easier to work on a flat surface.

Add ribbon through all holes. Once again adding our New Halloween Striped 1/2" Satin Ribbon(#127837 $7.95).

Now make a U here with the ribbon.

Add popcorn and push down.

Tie your bow or knot.

This is for a regular size Microwave popcorn not the mini.

Be Creative-Other things can fit in here like Giant candy, oh wait-I was only doing alternative things today. You Know what I mean!!!

I hope you ENJOYED this post today.
