Hi there and Welcome to my Countdown to Christmas.
I like to show fun, quick, and easy last minute ideas that are stamped and or using all Stampin' Up! products.
So, let us begin with Day 1.
I am a packaging nut. I love to re-package items, re-decorate, or just make a product that is already fun-Even More Fun. That brings me to today's package. Tic-Tacs.
I have seen a lot of Tic Tac packaging using one of our Sizzix dies but I decided to just go with something I know and that you can achieve with out the Big Shot (since you may not have one or it is under the Christmas tree wrapped still!).
Here is a Picture Tutorial for you so that you too can create something quick and simple for a Teacher gift or a last minute stocking stuffer.
I used the stamp set-Tags til Christmas set (clear #121169 $22.95) but you can use a Snowman or whatever. Anything can be stamped and you just cut away part of the image to showcase what is inside. The color I used was Tempting Turquoise, both INK ( #126952 $5.95) and Card Stock (102067 $6.95)
(This is for the Regular size Tic Tacs)
Tic Tac Holder Measurements:
Card Stock Base: 4 1/2" X 3"
Score at 1 7/8" and 2 3/4"
The White Card stock for image on top is: 2 3/4" X 1 3/4"
One you will stamp the image on, the other is for the back side.
I used the corner rounder for all 4 edges.
Cut 2 slices for ribbon at 2" and 2 1/2" ( I measured 1 1/4" down from the top and cut 1/2" slices for ribbon).
Ribbon is 12" long. I used Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (#109070 $6.95)
I punched with the corner rounder punch only the one side but you can do all 4 sides.
Now, stamp your image on top the white C.S. Glue down to hold ribbon in place.
Cut out 1/2 the image with a hobby blade, and remember to press hard enough, you will go through 2 layers.
Ta-Dah!
I used Sticky Strip tape (#104294 $6.95) on the backside of Tic Tacs. This way it holds it to your project and the person getting the gift can open it and read a message from you on the inside.
and your finished project.
and the backside
I hope you liked and see you tomorrow.
