Ah, Sunshine. Oh Where Oh Where is Spring? It has been so gloomy and so chilly here. BUT-Today was a Beautiful day here in Lake Geneva, WI. Finally. Last week, days and days of rain. The Bone Chilling kind. I think I might have a little understanding what Seattle residents feel like. I have been keeping busy in my office in the basement, Creating. My Absence on the web was due to getting ready for a Spring Card Buffet and a Boutique event. This past Saturday I held my Spring Card Buffet at Subway. There were 17 guests who were able to make 15 cards but had 20 Shoe boxes to choose from. 4 of my guests did doubles. A Lil Subway Lunch and the crowd was happy. I forgot to take pictures, sorry.
I usually just Post Creativity but I must comment on the Sadness in Boston. Yesterday's Boston Marathon Bombing has just made me feel so Blue again. Being a Former Police Officer, I still try to be very aware of my surroundings, who is in the room, where the exits are. Once a Cop-ALWAYS A COP! Unfortunately, being aware would not have helped. The senselessness of it all. My Heart goes out to all who were wounded and to the families of those who lost loved ones. I feel and that is enough. I can Pray and that gives Hope & Comfort. I send a prayer out to all of Boston and those families. May the wounded go on, live again, and hopefully, someday, not be afraid but to live in the Sunshine.
I dedicate today's post to those very Brave Men Women and Children and to all the Law Enforcement, First Responders, Doctors, Nurses, and ANYONE who Helped.
I have one of the cards to show you from my Card Buffet, one that made me feel Happy and forget it was gloomy and that life is hard.
Supplies I used:
Stamps: Sunflower: Wood: #123606 $17.95, Clear #123608 $13.95, Feel Goods: (w) #129681 $25.95, (c) #129684 $18.95.
Ink: Summer Starfruit: #126991 $5.95, Early Espresso: #126974, Chocolate Chip: #126979 $5.95
Paper: Summer Starfruit C.S. #126839 $6.95, Very Vanilla #101650 $8.50
Accessories: Daubers #102892 $10.95
Tip: Place stamp on back with rubber facing upward. Then ink the stamp with ink pad-patting it. Then take a dauber and ink it in the Chocolate chip ink. Now take the dauber and ink the middle of the sunflower with the dark brown ink. Now you are ready to either leave the stamp in this position and place the Vanilla Card stock on top, put scratch paper on top and rub. Or, you can pick up stamp and stamp the normal way. There are many ways to stamp.
