Halloween Decor-The Old Frame

Laura · October 10, 2013 · Leave a Comment

This is the Second half to my post from a week ago regarding the DSP Witches' Brew.  About, three years ago I found a few old frames with etchings at a local garage sale. I checked the etchings and they weren't worth anything but I thought the three frames were, Well, kinda creepy– perfect for Halloween ideas. The Old Frame (the biggest of the three) has been sitting on a bookshelf waiting to be reborn. Let's get started with a picture tutorial of how I created fun but creepy Halloween Decor.

The Old Frame:The-Old-Frame

The Ugly Backside:

After pulling apart I was wondering if this was worth it.

Is-this-worth-it

I trimmed out the Upper piece of the Witches' Brew DSP. The Witches Candy looked Great:

Cut-down

I added a matte since this cut out paper would be to small to fit inside the frame.

Made-A-Frame

Ok-Looks Good but it needs something:

I cut out 2 strips-Each at 11/4" X 12"

I then added Witches' Brew Designer Washi Tape.

I placed it on the the Rosette Die upside down and ran it through the Big Shot:

Afterwards:

I created my Rosette and glued together with a Low temp Hot Glue Gun. I added a bit of Hot Glue to our Silicone Craft Sheet.

Then I added some Bling. I love these New Frosted Finishes Embellishments

I used a Black and Orange Sharpie Markers and colored in the rhinestones to go with my color scheme.

Ta Da-My Finished Old Frame:

Well that was fun. I added some Spiders Webbing and an orange spider and a bit of Vintage ribbon. I could probably add more and I may, but for now-I Like It-Alot!!
