Time to use my stored empty containers for something fun and useful. These guys are ready for the Annual Woods School Craft Fair in Lake Geneva, WI this Saturday from 9AM-3PM. If you are in the area, stop in to see what else I have for sale.
I turned my old plastic containers that had held Brads, Buttons, etc. into something really adorable. It is not my original idea but a cased idea from a Demonstrator (thanks to Lisa Curcio). What a Perfect way to use and recycle, re-purpose, upcycle your containers. I'll bet you have a few hoarded away.
First clean the containers and pull off any wayward stickles on the edges. Then add some washi tape.
I decked them out with a goofy face on the front and a snowflake on the other side. Then I added tasty chocolate treats.
The whole Gang:
Love these guys.
Now for some housekeeping:
I am sorry but there will not be a Stamp Of the Month this month. I have had to cancel one of my stamp clubs last month and a class. My 84 yr old Mother-In-Law fell on November 18th and broke her femur. She lives in Chicago (about 1 1/2 hours away on a Good traffic day) and has been the caretaker of her daughter, my hubbies- Don's older Sister. It's been a very stressful time in our lives (I can not possibly even try to go into it. But I can tell you-if my life were a reality TV show right now-It would be the Number one show or at least number 2!!!) Yup-it's that insane. Sad, really. Between my husband driving either every day or every other day to see his Mom in the Rehab center and then checking in on his sister and me taking care of the kids, our House watch business and my stamping Business. A few things had to give. We were able to put up the Christmas tree and a wreath over the fireplace and one above the garage. That's it. No time for outside amazing lights and every room decorated. We just can't do it. I'm afraid I don't have it in me this year. If it wasn't for the girls, we probably would not have put up the tree at all and skipped decorations. Don was able to help while at home for the day. I have even had to rely on a few Wonderful people to help watch our girls in the last week. We NEVER have Babysitters-EVER! I am very grateful for the help. We owe a lot to Don's Mom, Virginia, and we will do what we have to do.
I will hopefully have January's Online Stamp Of the Month Club ideas at the end of December. At this time, I will not be taking on extra Holiday Workshops/Parties.
However:
