Pots ‘O Gold

Laura · March 13, 2015 · 1 Comment

Girl Scout Spring project time. AKA-Glitter should be on anything and everything!

Gold-everything

It’s time for another arts and crafts class with local Girls Scouts. What they needed was a really fun St. Patrick’s Day project and I thought Pots of Gold would be perfect.

First, I painted 30, 3″ tall terra cotta pots in Metallic Gold paint. Done.

Then I made sure that I had plenty of glue and Stampin’ Up! Gold Glitter to decorate these pots. Done.

I gathered up Glue, containers of Green filler or “foo foo” as I like to call it and of course any Gold colored packaged candy. Done and Done.

Girl-Scouts

Fill up those pots.

Pure-Joy!

I always have so much fun creating with the Girl Scouts. This particular troop was in Burlington, WI.

Thanks Meme for including me in helping the girls earn their badges.

NOTE: With great sadness, Stampin’ Up! has decided to discontinue ALL of the Blendabilities Markers and color lifter.  I know, I know. I am totally bummed. There were problems with the Manufacturer and rather let problems continue and have all of you get frustrated with returns, they pulled the plug. Stampin’ Up! wants the quality to be just right and if it does not meet their standards, then they have to let it go. I believe the main reason was a manufacturing process that was faulty, causing the markers to arrive to customers dry, some void of any color or ink, and or drying within a short period of use. I am glad that I work with a company who is so strict with standards and believes in Quality products. Disappointing as it may be, it was the right thing to do.

So, what does this mean for you.

If you ordered these Blendabilities Markers and it’s on backorder, you do not need to do anything as Stampin’ Up! will refund you within the next month.

If you received any of these markers as a Free Hostess item or Sale-A-Bration item and they are on backorder or defective, please fill out this survey (CLICK HERE). If you have your order number available, and a replacement item number ready-the process will go quicker. You will have an opportunity to choose a Free Sale-A-Bration product or Hostess item.

What can I use instead?

We have Stampin Write markers which coordinate with all of our papers. Of course you can use the Blender pens to add a touch of color from the markers and ink pads to any project. Then there are the AquaPainters that you can use with our Stamp pads and ink refills.

Beginning March 1st, there are New Sale-A-Bration items for you to pick and choose from. Visit here to see more. Please be aware that some of the items (Not the stamps) may run out due to the unavailability of the markers.

The Tuxedo Black Memento pad (item #132708) and the refill (item #133456) will still be available and will continue into the New 2015-2016 Catalog in June. That is great news as it is a perfect Black water-based ink to use, at least, I think so.

Whew! That was really hard for me to type out.

on to other things….

Don’t forget to sign up before March 15th for my March Online Stamp Club. Perfect if you are on a Budget, or can’t get to a stamp class. It’s the perfect way to get tips and great stamping information from me and to build up a stamp collection. Visit here to get all the info.
