I decided to do a little nighttime stamping and creating on Periscope tonight. For those of you who are new to my blog, I create a lot at night. I use to work night shifts in Law enforcement for many years and I will tell you, Night time is where it’s at! I did enjoy working the late shift. Although no longer a Police Officer/Security, I still am up and I create in my office at night. My family are looooong gone to bed. Usually I’m up until midnight or 1:30 AM if the creating is really good. I just had to recreated the crate featured on page 148 in our New 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. It’s so cute.
The directions came from a really nifty demonstrator-Jackie Topa. Since I haven’t seen a video on the assembly of the crate, I decided to create this little crate LIVE on Periscope. Click here to see my video.
You can visit my Periscope station (http://www.periscope.tv/livinglakelife) to see current and past videos.
Directions for this crate:
Base is Kraft Card Stock cut at 9″ x 3″ (score at 2.5″ & 6.5″)
4 slats are cut at 1″ x 5″ (score 1/2″ on each side)
If you want handles, use the current Classic Label punch or the now retired Window punch. I made the cutout on the recreated crate but not on the second natural box.
Stamp (in Tip Top Taupe ink) the base and then the slats with the background stamp-Hardwood.
I added a bit of filler or Foo Foo and added candy from the $ store. Perfect for gift cards. It would be great as a Father’s Day Gift! Right!
I think you could use these as fun place settings for your summer picnic or gathering.
Supplies I used:
