I love my Big Shot. I wonder how many posts I have mentioned this fact. I probably use this tool at least once a day. Today, I have for you, a mini treat bag with a clip. Better known as a bag die, a punch, and a giant paperclip. I used this clip as a fun bookmark for my Mom’s assisted living craft class. I punched it out for them and they created the clip with backing, and ribbon. Most did very well but a few did struggle. I do realize that a few of them need the challenge but I am also aware that a few tell me each time they never did well in art. Notice I said each time, meaning they keep coming back for more.
The bag was just a little extra that I decided to make today. It’s been a long time since I used this die and this paper just called out to me. I really like this Berry Burst color, don’t you? It’s just so vivid and refreshing. Next, I used the Naturally Eclectic DSP but you can use Cardstock as well. The clip was made by using the Best Badge punch and the stamp set Badges & Banners. I stamped the image, punched it out and then punched out a back piece.
You can find extra large paperclips at office supply stores or somewhere online. Mine were originally from Walmart and I’m not sure if they still sell them. Placing the back piece down, I added 3-4 dimensionals vertically. Then I straddled the paperclip over the dimensionals. I added 2 more dimensionals on opposite sides. Remove the backing and place the stamped piece ontop. Add ribbon and your done. I could have just had the bird in the cage but I decided to add the “a Little hello” greeting. I stamped this greeting on scrap and punched out using the Duet Banner punch. I added two dimensionals to the greeting and placed on lower part of bird cage.
I love how it turned out:
