If you have been a longtime follower of my blog, you will know-I LOVE AUTUMN! Yes, I was shouting. However, here in southeastern WI, it has been HOT, MAN, HOT! As in 90+ degrees. Ugh, so not happy. The Sun has been shining and its beautiful and all that. It’s just too much like Summer here. I really don’t think we even hit 90’s all Summer this year. I even did a Vendor event this past weekend in Pecatonica Il. at the Winnabago Fairgrounds and it was soooo Hot! 90% of the people that normally show up to this event, never did. Actually, it was probably best for them. I survived it with over 100 other Vendors but I will not do that again in that kind of heat. It was a shame, though. I really did have a lovely space with fun items. Thanks to several Vendors, I was able to get my fee back and sold a few things. I’m looking at the calendar, it says September 26th, days past the official day of Autumn. Bring on the cool down. Bring on the cool, crisp days. Maybe I’m just having a moment. A feeling of unhappy with the weather and really its A-OK. NAH!!!! I checked the weather report, and it looks like a cool front will be moving in over the weekend. Yea!
I know, there is too much going on in the world to be complaining about the weather. With that said, My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the Hurricanes. Truly, I am well aware. There are many Demonstrators that were affected by Harvey and Irma. Most all affected lost everything. And anyone who has a hobby or as a 2nd income through crafting, your partner/spouse more than likely will say to you-Your Done! To replace those items lost, the conversation would never be able to come up for discussion. I am a part of a group that can help supply those who need. We can buy items for them to replace. I think that is pretty cool. A way to give back. Stampin’ Up!® does help out with a starter kit but we (the Demonstrators) can come through with so much more. I’m glad I am part of this kind of company.
Time for me to share a really fun Fall idea with you. Now, I’m not into Pumpkin Spice Latte’s but, there are ton’s of people who are. I also bought the Mocha ones too. Here is my super fun idea on how to use those cute instant packets.
You need to see it up close. I added the Copper metallic thread behind the cup. This whole set is amazing.
Of course, keep it from spilling, even in the paper world we have one of those spill/splash sticks.
Now lets build it.
Add adhesive/Tear and Tape and put together.
Add your packet of PSL and then add the 6″ strip of DSP with adhesive. That way the packet will fit just right and the belly band doesn’t pull off.
I stamped leaves from the set all over. Added green glue to top off cup and added the lid. Then I added a drop of glue onto the splash stick at the top.
Isn’t this fun!
I LOVE how these turned out and I hope you did too.
