Just 2 weeks ago when I went to training with Stampin’ Up!-On Stage, held in Milwaukee, WI, I had a feeling we would hear about a revamp in colors. I was right. Yowza, was there a shake up. 13 colors are going away and there was serious movement within our color groups.
On May 31, 2018, thirteen colors are retiring.
- Always Artichoke
- Chocolate Chip
- Elegant Eggplant
- Island Indigo
- Marina Mist
- Perfect Plum
- Pink Pirouette
- Rose Red
- Soft Sky
- Tangerine Tango
- Tempting Turquoise
- Wild Wasabi
- Wisteria Wonder
Bye Bye!
The retiring 2016-2018 In Colors are:
- Dapper Denim
- Emerald Envy
- Flirty Flamingo*
- Peekaboo Peach
- Sweet Sugar Plum
*Please note that while Flirty Flamingo is retiring as an In Color, it will continue to be available as part of our core color collection.
I’m so excited for these new colors especially Merry Merlot!
I’m so excited to jump in with the new but also a bit bummed to see a few go Bye Bye. What this means for YOU is, order your refills NOW! If you like a certain color, need some of the Card Stock or ink pads and refills, order them ASAP. When it’s gone-it’s gone. Need Designer series paper, Get it now.
Now, What’s even more exciting is a few colors from the past are returning as core colors. That’s really nifty! And my two fav’s are Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow. The other 4 are Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana, and Flirty Flamingo. F.F. is retiring to just be brought back and getting a sexy new look in a new ink pad.
New Ink Pad Design.
You do not need to worry about having to get new ink refills for the New pads. All the colors will be the same (except for the Archival inks-Basic Black and Basic Gray are Retiring-get your refills today). When you order some of the new colors in June, the pads will be really stiff and a bit hard to open. Just give it some time to be opening and closing. It will loosen up, I promise. It has the same ink foot print but the plastic space is smaller. Plus, it opens like a powder compact-ladies.
Just click on this clip:
There you go. You got to see the New ink pad. So exciting. I was at the 2002 Convention in Kansas City, MO the first time the new design came out. That was huge. But the Patent was going to end and Stampin’ Up! decided it would be good to try something new especially since its 30 years this year. The plastic case is thinner, slimmer, and great design. The ink pad footprint is the same. Same wonderful ink.
ENJOY!
