Its Day 4 of my Birthday Blog Candy Giveaway.
Time for Spring Treat ideas. Of course with Easter around the corner, there is a huge choice of candy to choose from. In my creative stamping world, sometimes those candies dictate how I create my projects. This stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration set and I put it together and put it in the drawer about 2 months ago. That would almost be Serious Oops, if I had gone the entire 2014 SAB season without playing with it. It's a nice set & FREE with a $50.00 order. It's the You're Lovely Stamp Set (w)#133575 or (c) #133578.
Here is my Sweet Treat Creation:
Our bags were revamped and very sleek looking. 4" X 6" #102757 $4.50 for 50 bags. Perfect to display these Dark Chocolate Cadbury eggs. The only complaint I have is that most of the Cadbury eggs were broken, boo hoo. I only could save 1 other treat bagful. Of course the broken ones don't go to waste, they will just have to be eaten. Darn. They just were not pretty enough to be given out.
I stamped the image twice, once in Marina Mist and then in Staz-On Black. I colored the flowers and then cut out each one and placed on the blue image. I did not use the sayings in this stamp set but used my go to set-Teeny Tiny Wishes. This was the first Catalog year it became available in Clear mount. (w) #128748 $36.95, (c) #127802 $26.95. I still use wood for many of my word sets but I am thinking I just might like to have an extra set in clear.
Do you like Wood or Clear or the New Photopolymer sets? I do prefer Wood for stamps when I am going to do 3-D projects or Multi -Media because I use paints with them and they hold up better then the cling type. It all depends on preference.
The Big Shot was used here. I used the Coordinating Deco Labels Collection #130102 $24.95. The large Framelit was used for the topper, I cut it out and then scored it. Place on top of the bag and then stapled. To hide the staple I then stamped a Large Circle (2 1/2" Circle Punch #120906 $16.95) in Whisper White Cardstock and glued it down. Then I cut out a smaller Blue one to frame the stamped image. Cut it in 1/2 and separate and glue the white smaller piece to it. Easy and it adds to the image.

Well rats…chocolate that HAS to be eaten. lol Let me know Laura if you need any help with that. 😀
Beautiful treat presentation. Lovely how you matched the egg colors to the beautiful Stampin’ Up papers and images.
Thanks for sharing the tip about wood mounts for those messier projects. I knew there was a reason I grabbed for those when using paint and other mediums…just never quite realized why. The unconscious at work obviously. Happy birthday and blogaversary. I hope you are having fun and planning a long and joyous celebration. A friend of mine is convinced that really…birthdays should be celebrated all year long…or at least until its time for the next one. Seems like a plan to me.
