A little know fact. I love Dragonflies. I like butterflies, but I love Dragonflies. They make me happy.
About 15 years ago, I was at Leadership in Florida in February. Managers galore, we were all ready to take our seats for an outdoor lunch when all of a sudden a HUGE, I am talking, over 5″-6″ dragonfly, landed on my shoulder. I was not scared. That was THE biggest bug I have ever seen but I knew it was harmless. Looking back, How I wish we all had camera phones back then. I could have had someone text me it so that years later I could show my kids the picture. It’s possible my kids might have been grossed out or impressed, hard to say at their age!
Little know facts about Dragonflies:
They eat mosquitoes and other icky pests like wasps. That alone is important to me.
They are fast fliers.
They live long lives, some even recorded up to 5 years.
They have selective attention span- stay focused on their prey.
They come in many sizes and colors.
And they are just cool looking!
You can attract them through having a pond, or other water feature. Just be aware that Mosquitoes like these water features too.
Now, on to Dragonfly cards:
How easy is this card. Simple and clean. Just two colors, Daffodil Delight and Blackberry Bliss.
Now, lets step up this card with layers and Bling.
I stamped another Dahlia on scrap white C.S. and then cut out the center.
I layered with dimensionals and added Bling.
Love it! Love it so much-it’s already has ink all over it. This particular stamp set (Awesomely Artistic) is my new Favorite.
