I realized I have not made a video on my YouTube channel in a very long time. Yikes. So, I got busy today.
Normally I take 3 videos, sometimes 5 because of serious blurbs and mishaps, or interruptions. I choose the best and spend 3 -5 hours editing-especially if its been a long time since my last video. For some odd reason, I made one video, took 1 hr to edit and loaded it. WHAT!!! It was time for me to JUST DO IT and get going with posting. Many of you who read my blog are customers, new followers, and fellow demonstrators. Lots of you have probably never even made a video let alone uploaded it for the world to see and judge. It’s scary and exciting. I just must have been on my A game today. It’s not the best, but it explains the card idea. It’s been a few weeks since I really last posted a fun tutorial and I figured it would be better if I did more than just picture tutorial, video would be the best. I learn far more from the visual as do most of you. I hope you enjoy.
Please note, if you get this in your email, you are more than likely not able to see the video. I didn’t realize this until my last video upload. At the bottom of my post is a direct link to my blog and you can click on it and see the video then. Sorry, not sure why it doesn’t come through but you’ll want to visit my blog anyway.
Today’s post is about the Hey Chick Stamp set that’s FREE with a $50.00 order during SALE-A-BRATION.
I have for you the Chicken Window card:
My original Sample:
My card on the video:
Here are the Dimensions of this card:
Card base is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.
The extra inside piece that covers is 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ but cut off 1/8″ from each so it sat better on the inside.
The square I used for the window is 1 3/8″ (second smallest square).
The second square for the framed window is 1 3/4″ (third square) with the 1 3/8″ square.
I did use the chicken wire from the now retired set Ghoulish Grunge from the Holiday 2016 Catalog. Try instead the one from the Butterfly Basics stamps set (page 113 main catalog) or the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143231 $9.00 in the Occasions Catalog.
To simplify I used the Big Shot platform and standard cutting pads for the square thinlits. I sorta got tongue-tied with what I was using in the video but it’s all good.
Enjoy the Video:
